Candidates must obtain 50% marks in 12th in PCB and then qualify for the NEET exam which is hosted by the National Testing Agency usually in the month of April-May.
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET exam set by the NMC. For that, fill in the application form and pay the prescribed fee within the given timeline. The NEET exam is important because it evaluates the candidates' knowledge and aptitude in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Later, a merit list is prepared, and candidates are ranked based on the NEET scores accordingly.
Once the NEET results are declared, eligible candidates are required to participate in the centralized counseling process conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) or state counseling authorities, depending on the counseling body designated for PGIMS Rohtak. Students need to register online, fill in their choices of colleges, and lock their choices within the specified time period. Then counseling authorities will release the merit list, and candidates have to appear for counseling based on their ranks.
During counseling, candidates need to undergo document verification and their choices for seat allotment. Candidate's NEET rank, choices filled, and availability of seats are taken into consideration while allotting seats.
After seat allotment, candidates need to complete the admission formalities, including payment of fees and submission of relevant documents. Candidates are required to report to the allotted institute within the specified time, failing which their seats may be forfeited.
