The medical college was named after Byramjee Jeejabhoy Medical College, He is a famous businessman and donated ₹20,000 in 1879. B.J. Medical College Ahmedabad was established in 1871. It is located in Asarwa, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In 1917, the institute was affiliated with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Bombay, later it was affiliated with Gujarat University.
