Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Gorakhpur is known as India’s one of the oldest & prestigious medical colleges. It is a public medical college authorised by the government of Uttar Pradesh. It is popularly known as BRD Medical College Gorakhpur and BRDMC Gorakhpur. 

BRD Medical College was founded in Nov of 1969 by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh late Shree Chandra Bhanu Gupta. It was like a dream come true for the citizens of Purvanchal When the foundation of this college was laid. The college is named after Baba Raghav Das, known as “Gandhi of Purvanchal”. Baba Raghav Das (BRD) ji was born in 1896 in Pune and he played a vital role in the political, social, economic, and cultural activities of the nation. 

BRD Medical College is affiliated with Deen Dayal Upadhyay and it's approved by National Medical Commission (NMC). Also, The government decided to modernise the institute's infrastructure and transform it into a "super-speciality facility" on par with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). BRD Medical College has a vast campus which covers a total area of 147.6 acres.

BRD Medical College Admission Process

NEET PG Counselling

NEET PG Counseling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in NEET Counseling. 

Step 1- Candidates need to register on MCC.nic.in 

Step 2- Fill out the application form by entering all your required details such as name, DOB, roll number and other information.

Step 3- Verify all the details carefully and then Submit the application.

Step 4- Enter all the NEET application details such as the NEET application number and Roll Number, category and nationality. 

Step 5- MCC will conduct counselling in a total of four rounds

• The candidate should have an aggregate of 50% in PCB for the General category and 40% for Reserved category Candidates.
