Named in honor of the first Indian-born woman to successfully travel to space in 2003, Kalpana Chawla who lost her life tragically in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College was built in 2017 to provide top-notch medical education and produce excellent healthcare professionals to serve the country and contribute to the development of healthcare industry.
The college offers several undergraduate medical courses and has a capacity of 100 medical seats.
