Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College is a constituent college of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The medical college is often referred to as JNMC Aligarh. JNMC Aligarh was established on 2 Oct 1962 (the 93rd birthday of Mahatma Gandhi) through the efforts of Dr Ziauddin Ahmed. The college is located in Aligarh city of Uttar Pradesh. The first batch of MBBS classes had an intake of 40 students.
