Rabindranath Tagore Medical College is popularly known as RNT Medical College, Udaipur. It is one of the premier and prestigious medical colleges not only in Rajasthan but also in India. RNTMC Udaipur was established in 1961 in Udaipur city, the heart of Rajasthan. The medical college was named after the famous Indian Nobel prize winner Rabindranath Tagore, a poet, writer and freedom fighter. The college got approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) now known as National Medical Commission (NMC) in 1966.
