The Medical Line is very tough as compared to many other fields and the only bachelor degree that makes the candidates eligible to carry the term “doctor” along with their name, and are entitled to use the term ‘Dr’ before their names. Being in this line requires Good Stamina, Patience, Compassion, teamwork, mental alertness, updating of skills and knowledge and a lot of responsibility. Increase in day to day demand of the medical field is due to increase in diseases. After the successful completion of the MBBS degree, a person has 2 options either to look for a job or open his own clinic.
A person looking for a job may be hired by many hospitals, nursing homes, health corporations, pharmaceuticals, medical colleges and many more. One can also work as a physician and prescribe medicines and research. After completing MBBS one can also study further, completing his masters and later on phd.
The salary of an MBBS degree holder generally depends on how much experience and knowledge they have. Their starting salary ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month and an experienced one gets 8 to 10 lakh per annum.
In Conclusion, I must say pursuing MBBS in Punjab opens way to many different high paying career opportunities. Throughout the course students are being taught about human cytology, chemistry, medicine, human anatomy, drug formulation, pharmaceuticals and the methods of surgery. Some of the job profiles of MBBS include junior doctors, physicians, doctors, researchers, scientists, junior surgeons and medical lecturers.
